Task: Lubrication
Sub Task: Identify various methods of lubrication, manual and pneumatic grease guns and nipples, grease cups, oil cups, splash and forced.
Aims: What are the various methods of lubrication?
- How to use high pressure grease gun and pneumatic grease gun
- How to refill grease gun.
- What is the use of grease cup, oil can?
Requirement for performing the task:
1. High pressure grease gun
2. Pneumatic grease gun
3. Oil can
4. Grease cup
5. Grease nipple
Precaution to be observed:
- Wear all proper PPE.
- Follow the maker’s instructions while using lubricants.
- All the lubrication equipment should be well maintained.
- Take care about the grease nipple while using grease gun.
- Remove dirt and grease from grease fittings.
- Never mix two different lubricants.
