DESCRIPTION/PRECAUTION:-

MOB MARKER IS LOCATED ON BRIDGE WING AND USED
WHEN ANY PERSON GETS OVERBOARD.

THE SMOKE MARKER GIVES ORANGE SMOKE FOR
DURATION OF 15 MIN

IT IS ATTACHED WITH LIFE BUOY.

THE RELEASING ASSEMBLY IS ALWAYS CHECKED BY
RESPECTIVE OFFICER INCHARGE.

IT GIVES THE
FAIR IDEA OF WHERE THE CASUALTY IS OVERBOARD AND ACCORDING TO THAT IT IS
USEFUL IN SEARCHING THE CASUALTY.

SART – SEARCH AND RECUE TRANSPONDER.

 IT IS
USED TO SEND DISTRESS SIGNAL TO VESSELS WITHIN RADAR VICINITY

12 DOTS ARE DISPLAYED ON 3 CM “x” BAND RADAR
TO APPROACHING SHIP

THERE ARE TWO SART PLACED ON SHIP( ON BRIDGE)

IT IS ORANGE
IN COLOUR

 

EPIRB
EMERGENCY POSITIONING INDICATING RADIO BEACON

IT IS USED FOR SENDING AUTOMATIC DISTRESS
SIGNALS TO COASTAL STATION VIA SATELITE

ATLEAST ONE EPIRB TO BE CARRIED ON BOARD.

IT IS PLACED ON MONKEY ISLAND.

 IT IS
ALSO ATTACHED WITH HRU.
