Task: Grinder
Sub
Task: Identify major components of hand grinder
and how to change wheels using appropriate tools. Know
how to select grinding wheel based on the speed of
the grinder machine.

Requirement for performing the task:
1. Reference theory from MEK Text book.
2. Portable hand grinding
machine
3. Hand wheel
4. Hand wheel changing tool
Precaution to be observed:
Make sure hand grinder is disconnected from
power supply.
Wear proper personal
protective equipment.
Use hand gloves.
Tool should not be oily
because it may slip and can cause injury.
Make sure wheel is locked
before opening.
PROCEDURE: Following procedure should be followed while changing the
grinding wheel
1.
Make sure hand grinder is disconnected from power supply.
2.
Use appropriate tool to opening the wheel.
3.
Press wheel locking button to lock the wheel.
4.
Now open the wheel nut in clock wise direction.
5.
Now take out the old wheel and put new one.
6.
Now put back the wheel nut and tight it in anti-clockwise
direction.
